I love being a stay at home mom and being able to help out in all my kids classroom Halloween Parties. I love that my fourth grader still wants me to pick him up and that my 2nd graders chose to stay in from recess just to hang out a few extra minutes while I cleaned up.

Now, my six grader on the other hand... liked having me volunteer, but didn't think it was so cool to take a picture with mom. Oh well... I love that Julie Jordan and I are doing the six grade video and get a back stage pass to all their school activities. McKenna can't decide if she likes the fact that I get to go to 6th grade Lagoon Day and the BIG 6th Grade Dance - on official photographer business. Myself, on the other hand is thrilled to get to experience these last few months of elementary school with her.

(To McKenna's defense, this picture was snapped right as the large balloon she was blowing up burst from her lips)
McKenna and Lauren dressed up as Toad and Toadette and Loved attending their friend's Birthday Costume Party.
Saturday morning we had the Stanger Grandkids over for some fun kitchen cooking craft time. One thing we dearly miss about Grandma Diane is all her creative Holiday treats. McKenna taught them how to make frogs out of green apples, with a Air head red tongue, marhmellow eyes and mini chocolate chips flies. We dipped pretzel bones and made Nutter Butter Ghost. That afternoon we went to Grandma and Grandpa Steffensens Trunk or Treat and loved hanging out with all the cousins.
Although Halloween was on a Monday this year, the kids had the day off from school, so we had fun visiting Kent and Grandma at work. Then attended the McFarlands neighborhood carnival and our ward Trunk or Treat. We finished the night out eating Joni's yummy homemade soup.
The week leading up to Halloween was packed full of one adventure after the next. A mix all the fun we also celebrated Monson's 4th birthday. He was so excited to finally get his Monster Rain boots.
